About Kayme McIntosh, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C
Nurse Practitioner

Kayme earned a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from Western Michigan University in 2008. Her plans to attend medical school changed during her senior year while volunteering in the ER at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Kayme decided her passion was Nursing.

Kayme enrolled in the post-baccalaureate BS to BSN program at Texas Woman's University and earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2011. During nursing school she worked as a Patient Care Tech at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) on a diabetes/med/surg floor and subsequently accepted her first Nursing job there after graduation. She then transitioned to Medical City Dallas and worked in Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant and Medical City Lewisville in Oncology/med/surg/telemetry.

In 2013 she returned to Texas Woman's University to pursue her Master's of Science in Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in 2015 with honors. She accepted a position at Baylor Scott and White Dallas Diagnostic Association in Plano, TX where she gained valuable training from Dallas's best Internal Medicine and Specialty physicians. She managed a panel of roughly 1200 patients and served as the Advanced Practice Provider Lead for Baylor's North region. Her leadership skills grew and she became an integral part of the team at Baylor Scott and White Health.

In 2021 Kayme accepted a position at Baylor Scott and White Primary Care Willow Park and she and her family moved to Santo, TX. There she honed her procedural skills and developed an appreciation for functional medicine (treating the root cause of disease).

In September 2022, through divine intervention, Kayme was introduced to Dr. Alice Ramsey in Mineral Wells, TX. Dr. Ramsey has played an integral role in mentoring Kayme both clinically as well as in private practice ownership. Dr. Ramsey serves as Kayme's collaborating physician and has become a dear friend and colleague.

Kayme has extensive training and experience in treating complex medical conditions. She focuses on listening to her patients and providing them with a well-rounded and personalized plan of care. She believes that wellness includes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing and she works to optimize each part of her patient’s lives. She uses an evidence-based practice approach along with functional medicine principles to get to the root of the problem and improve overall health of her patients. Many patients consider Kayme to be a great listener and she becomes a friend and partner in improving their health.
